The one you reach for when you want coffee that tastes like coffee. A 75/25 blend of natural-process Brazil from Daterra's Grutta lot and washed Peru from the Selva Norte project — heavy body, deep cocoa, and just enough brightness to keep it interesting.

The Brazil — Grutta, Daterra (75%)

Yellow Catuaí, grown at around 970m in the Cerrado, and dried on the tree as a natural. Daterra is one of the most awarded farms in Brazil — the world's first B Corp coffee farm, Brazil's first Rainforest Alliance certified farm, and carbon negative. Grutta is the backbone of the blend: walnut, dark chocolate, honey.

The Peru — Selva Norte (25%)

Washed, grown at around 1,750m in the Cajamarca highlands of northern Peru. Selva Norte is a producer-first project run by ECOTIERRA — ten cooperatives, thousands of smallholder growers, and a mill co-owned by the coops themselves. It brings brown sugar, green apple and a clean finish to the cup.

How to drink it

  • Espresso — where it lives. Thick, cocoa-heavy, syrupy.
  • With milk — flat whites and lattes are the sweet spot. Chocolate through and through.
  • Filter — perfectly good, but you'll lose some of the body. Not what this blend is built for.
